Brinkman(n) Genealogy Home Page

We are building a Brinkman DataBase. We have accumulated a large amount of Brinkmans in the Ohio area and some leading back to their German originations. We found Bernd Brinkmann in a property transfer dated 1434 in the Hannover region of Germany. Our current research is centering on finding the German home towns of US Brinkman immigrants. (See our ad for Fred Brinkman(n)at this site). Most Brinkmans arrived in the US between 1840-1890. Large numbers of Brinkman immigrants settled in Ohio, Missouri, and Maryland. The earliest known Brinkmans coming to the US were Fred Brinkman and family to Philadelphia in 1750. There are several books published on Brinkman genealogies, e.g. "Decendants of Otto Henrich Wilhelm Brinkman", 1925 Lancaster, PA.; "The Schulte Family Tree, Volume III" 1996 Santa Ana, CA.
