| I am researching the history of the Dunsters of Reading (formerly of Uffculme, Devon) The results of my search so far take me back to about 1720 in Uffculme, Devon, starting with John Dunster who married Mary Loney. After four generations in Devon, the Dunster family (who were shoemakers) moved up to Reading in the late 1800s. They built up a shoe and boot manufacturing business and shop which ran until the early 1960s.
