Within these pages you will find quite a bit of interesting information about our ancestors and their families.

The research has been incredibly fascinating. Sources of this information have been from many wonderful people across Canada and the United States. Some helpers are related and some not, but all willing to help. Also I have found a wealth of information on the Internet that has made this search much easier.

This site will only allows minimal people to be listed in the Surname List and Index of Individuals.

Our family database has now grown to 15 Generations; over 19,000 individual names, and a total of 3400 different surnames. Visit the "Our Family Connections" Gedcom File for everyone in our family. For individual families click on the Surname Gedcom Trees for information on that particular family.

If you have any information that can be useful or have any corrections to information that you find, please email me so I can continue to keep everything updated. I am also looking for family pictures, so feel free to send those to me as well.

GEDCOM Trees (viewing trees requires 4.0 or later)

  • Draper Family Tree (482 KB)
Draper Family from Sutton, Ontario, Canada
  • Christopher Brockelbank Family Tree (173 KB)
Brockelbank's from USA and Ontario that settled on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada
  • Sullivan Family (497 KB)
The Sullivan Family has been hard to find information on as it such a common name. In the beginning it was difficult to find information on my grandfather’s own siblings. I eventually found who they all were but then hit a brick wall trying to find any further info on them. I happened upon a message board with someone who had a connection to my great grandmother Mary Jane Kenny’s family. I was lucky enough to find more information on the family this way. I again happened upon another family tree full of Sullivan information. I started checking it out and sure enough I had hit pay dirt with John Sullivan’s whole family. They are spread all over Canada and The United States; some went to Wallaceburg, Ontario others went out to the Western Provinces, and some into Michigan, Wisconsin, Washington, Indiana, and a few also went all the way to Los Gatos, California. This is quite a branch to work on as it is so spread out, but I will continue to plug away at it.
  • Bergoine Family Tree (142 KB)
Information here is from family sources, and also from different genealogy sites on the Internet. The Bergoine’s were from Vermont, USA, and Salem, Massachusetts. I have found information on my Grandfather Charles' mother's side of the family that dates back to 1540. Also we have links back in this same family to Salem, Massachusetts and the Witch Trials of 1692. My 10th great grandmother was Rebecca Towne Nourse who was hung as a witch during these trials. I am researching any and all information on this line to make sure that all facts are accurate. It is a very interesting search. It is still difficult to find information on the Bergoine’s prior to my Great Grandfather Lewis. If you have any information that can assist me with this line, please let me know.
  • James Cadden Family Tree (325 KB)
I believe from the sources that I have found that James Cadden (Cadam – Coddon) married Bridget McCormick in Ireland, and then came to Canada and homesteaded in the Renfrew Area. Around 1910 - 1911 they moved to Saskatchewan. Some had married by this time and were in Pembroke and North Bay, and the other children moved with them and lived around Saskatchewan, and a few went to the United States, around North Dakota. It is a difficult search for this name prior to the 1900's as the name has been listed many ways; Cadden, Cadan, Caden, Cadam, and the newest variation being Coddon.
  • George Dagenais Family Tree (370 KB)
The Dagenais name has taken many spellings over the years. They originated in Ireland and came to Canada from France. The name changed in France from Dashnay/Dashna to the name known today as Dagenais. Some members of the family have carried on with the new way of spelling and others have used the old way. There is still a lot to be learned about this family, so any assistance anyone can be please help us out.
  • Daniel Shields Family Tree (325 KB)
The Shields family information is pretty slim. We know that Daniel was born in Ireland and came to Canada and resided in Bromley Township, Renfrew County, but this is all the information that we have managed to find to date. There seems to be little information to find on his birth, marriage or his children.
  • Our Family Connections (8651 KB)
This is a complete Gedcom file of everyone in our family.
  • Comba Family Tree (201 KB)
    Comba Family Tree
  • Jean Brideaux Family Tree (303 KB)
Brideaux Family from Jersey Channel Islands
