In my Fathers family, I have traced the following surnames: LeMAY, MITCHELL, MICHAEL, SHARP, HOUSE, BRINK, BRINKER. And information on the following locations within this family: NEW YORK, IOWA, OREGON, KANSAS, WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS VIRGINIA OHIO.

I have been able to trace my Grandmothers history as far back as my Great Great Great Grandfather, GEORGE WASHINGTON SHARP MICHAEL (DOB: 7/9/1827). He married ELIZA HOUSE MICHAEL (DOB: 2/19/1828), July 3, 1849. They lived in all of the states listed above, and gave birth to nine children: WILLIAM H., ABRAHAM I., IZORA ALMIRA, CHARLES E., CLARENCE W., ELMIRA F., GEORGE W., ELIZA AND LANI LEOTI. I have been fortunate enough to find photo's of both my GGG Grandfather and his wife, as well as eight of nine of their children. Elmira passed away at the age of 5 in Iowa.

Within my Mothers family, I have traced the following surnames:
STEINMETZ, MALONEY, McLANE, PIHL, GREENWALD,

Adam Steinmetz (DOB:abt 1814 in Saxony Germany) was the earliest relative I have been able to trace on my Mothers, mothers side. He then ended up in Brunnenthal, Samarah, Russia. Three generations later HENRY & ALICE (BAKER) STEINMETZ, made their way to the United States on a ship named "THE YALTA". From their they made their way across the United States Settling in Portland Oregon. They gave birth to 11 Children: KATHERINE, ALICE, HENRY, MARY, MARGARET, PAULINE, ESTHER, GEORGE, HENRY, ALMA and RAYMOND. (No this was not a typo, they named two of their sons Henry).

If any of these names or places seem to match your information, please feel free to write, email or give me a call. I have many photo's and dates, places of births, marriages and deaths. I am also working on a much more complete web page, which I have linked here but I do not have it up and running as of yet.
