I am researching the Briggs' on both sides of my family. My father's family began in this country with Clement Briggs a passenger on the " Fortune" which arrived at the Pylmouth Colony from England in 1621. On my mothers side, John Briggs came to Pennsylvania from Ireland but spent most of his life in Ohio. Other allied family members that have been researched are Lawrence (or Laurence), Hamilton, Barnes, Southwick, Small and Wakefield. Any information would be appreciated and I would be glad to share.
