I am searching for information regarding descendants and ascendants of Charles L. Britt and, his wife, Elizabeth Curtis Britt. They lived in Douglas, GA in the late 1800's to mid 1900's. They had eight children: Andrew L.; James; Estelle; Ellen; Jannie Arfielder; Artis Linwood; Ernest B., and Charles Joseph.Charles' father came to America from Sweden or Ireland. His mother was a Native American, possibly of the Cherokee Tribe. His wife, Elizabeth, was a Native Amercian, possibly of the Seminole Tribe. Her father was a Tribal Chief. I would like to learn of siblings and relatives of Charles L. and Elizabeth. They were my grandparents. Charles Joseph (d.1957) was my father. There are Britt family members living in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, California, Delaware, Maryland, Florida, Oklahoma, and many other states. Many Curtis family members still live in GA. I wish to make contact with members of the Britt and Curtis Families. The Britt's are having their Fourth Bi-Annual Family Reunion in 1999 (place to be announced in the near future). The 1997 Reunion was held in Richmond, VA.The more I learn, the more I long to know. The more I find, the more I look. I look forward to meeting more family members and sharing information, kinship, fellowship, and love. Thanks for your visit! |
