| We are in the process of tracking family history. We have extensive information from relatives on the Brimhall and Trapp families. We are searching for more information on the Kruso and Sevakis families. Ignace Sevakis (born February 12, 1891) came to Detroit, MI from Lithuania around 1903. His father's name was Paul Sevakis. Ignace's mother and a twin brother died at his birth. Paul remarried an unknown woman and had additional children by her. We are interested in knowing if Sevakis is a Lithuanian name or if the name was changed. We would like to learn the names of Paul's wives and any information about the family in Lithuania. Family legend says that "Sevakis" serves as a toast meaning "good luck." We would be happy to share any information. |
