| I am researching the Brizell family who after tracing them back to Liverpool, England arrived from Ireland in the mid 1850's. Researching Ireland roots, it showed the Brizell name changed numerous times - Brizzle, Brisol, Brizzel. Research showed not all family members migrated to England. A direct decendant, Lowry Brizzel who resided in the county of Londonderry, Parish of Coleraine, town of Gortacloghan had a farm consisting of 10 acres and an additional 40 acres in the nearby town of Magheramore where he had his office and his home. At this point in time (1832) I am attempting to identify the members of his family and his wife Martha Gemmill. Where the both of them were born is still a mystery as is Lowry's place and date of birth. |
