Levi Cooper married Sarah Elizabeth Carter and had Susie Mae. Sarah was the daughter of Mary Josephine Hereford of Virginia and Thomas Randolph Carter of SC who had settled in Hope Hull. Thomas served in the Civil War and it is written that he furnished his own horse and it is written that he spent time in a Virginia Hospital during a sickness and one can only wonder if that is where he met the beautiful Mary Hereferd because her entire family soon moved into Montgomery Alabama.
