One of the many grandfathers of Charles Brooks was born in 1777 SC and settled in Chambers County Alabama by 1830 is buried beside his wife and his son at Old Harmony Church. Elijah's daughter Sarah Lee married her neighbor Charner P . Cooper, a Civil War soldier and had a son named Levi Benjamin Cooper who settled in Hope Hull on T. R. Carter's plantation as a laborer and then married Carter's daughter.
