Hi! Welcome to my ome page, I hope you like it and find it useful! I have been researching our Family history since about 1981, on and off, and have been reasonably succesful. The Thwaites ancestry through the Kingsford line for example can be traced back to 1511 when Henry VIII was on the throne... and still a Catholic! The Pipers go back to the civil war period, but I have not actually indulged in social history, just the facts and figures. On February 2001 Hilary Roscoe who lives in wales, contact and she is also descended from John Godfrey Krantzcke. Her great grand father was John's youngest son, Francis, who was a Sweep in Cardiff. As John died in the family home in Cardiff Hilary has inheritated the Krantzcke legacy and has a lot information and photographs about the Krantzcke history. Anyway if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. More later, 27 July 2002 Hilary was lucky enough to find the wills of Frederick and Alice Krantzcke but the bad news is that John Godfrey Krantzcke is NOT thier son!!He is Fredericks nephew!! Therefore all of Alice's ancestry is not our ancestry and therefore this has now been amended. Dave 28 Aug 2005 New updates have been added to both the Krantzckes and to the Thwaites families. My grateful thanks to the Ball Family History site for updates on the Thwaites family, this includes a new generation. The release of census inexes for all the Census years from 1841 - 1901 has been a great boon to padding out existing information and for finding news areas of research such the Nott/Henbest links which have expanded greatly. 16 September 2006 This is the first update of this site since my hard drive crashed in June of this year, I have gradually been piecing together my Family History again, this the latest version with more to come soon. 7 June 2007 I will soon be changing this page into provide more useful information. In the meantime this latest update now includes over 2000 individuals - I do hope you find the one you are looking for!! Dave 14 December 2007 For those who have seen earlier Editions of our Family Tree will note that the Edwards line is now completely different!! Back in 1981 when I started my research I made a fundmental blunder which was carried on for over 25 years, it is only recently that I have discovered the error, The error may never have been discovered if it was not for my determination to find the correct place of birth of great Aunt Alice Davis nee Edwards. When i did discover it, it blew all my previous research out of the water!! I am preparing a paper which fully explains what went wrong and how it was put right, that will be available soon. In the meantime I have now updateed this site to reflect the new (and correct!) Edwards line. Dave | David Sidney Brown's Home Page Updated April 12, 2009 |
