After retiring from a number of Marketing and PR positions I tried playing golf, but my hand/eye coordination wasn't adequat to make PAR. So, I tried the study of Genealogy. Frankly, I should have stayed with the 8-iron.I'm now trying to fill in the gaps of my Virginia ancestorS with beautifull histories of: Brooks,Taylor,Moody and Smith families of Middlesex and Essex County,VA starting about 1750. Old Samuel Taylor served his State in the Revolutionary War with King George III. My current descendents live in the Tidewater area of Virginia - Norfolk,Newport News,Gloucester and even Richmond,VA and along AN 1700 inland highway called the Rappahannock River. I humbly would appreciate any help in filling in my gaps. James Winter Brooks m. Rosa Lee Taylor Jan 26, 1824 in Esses County, VA. They had 9 Children. Rosa's father was Sthreshley Taylor m. Aphrey Moody Dec 8,1815.They had 9 children, including my Dad. Many members of the Moody family removed from Essex County, VA. to Chesterfield County, VA. I know where they're buried. From there, others removed to Galveson, Texas.The. Would appreciate any data on the following Virginia families: Wm.Lewis Moody, [Alice Peed] [Upshaw] [the Carneal family] [the Chandler and
