Emma Margaret Bixler (daughter of Joseph Bixler and Rachel Tothero) was born January 09, 1864 in Reading, Pa., and died June 10, 1922 in Reading, Pa.. She married Henry Horace Brown on February 21, 1880 in Robeson Twp., Pa., son of Henry Brown and Elizabeth Garman.

Emma's Father, Joseph Bixler stepped on a nail and died when she was 5 weeks old and her mother went out cleaning to support Emma and her brothers. Joseph, 5/8/1816-2/13/1864 and his wife Rachel, 1/4/1824-7/25/1881 are buried at the Plow Church Cemetery on Route 10 in Section A row 9. Emma passed away on the 10 of June in 1922. She was 58 years 5 months and 1 day old. The services were held at her late residence at 360 N. Front Street in Reading. Relatives, friends and members of the Naragansett Council No 67 Degree of Pocohontas I.O.R.M. were invited to the services at 1:30 P.M. Interment was in the Allunbach cemetery.
