I am sure I am like many other amateur genealogist in that while my intentions have been to dive in, full speed ahead, and do as much as I can in researching my family's history; in reality, it has become more akin to being stuck in rush hour traffic, starting and stopping...stopping and starting. But such is life... too often things don't always play out as we would like them to. Anyway, I have finally resigned myself to the fact that my family tree, much like life itself, is not something that can be planned, executed and completed; but rather something that is in itself, a living thing. Believe me, being somewhat of an Obsessive-Compulsive, that was not an easy thing to accept; but accept it I have. My hope is that I will be able to keep the tree alive and living and growing through-out my lifetime and pass it on, in time, to my daughters. I hope that one day they too will find it as fascinating as I have to see not only where we have come from, but to know WHO we come from. In doing this, it is my belief that those that have gone before us will continue to live on with each new fact or tidbit that can be discovered in doing genealogical research, and that my daughters can also find the joy that I do with each new find.

Special thanks to Norman Hare and Beverly Manalo, whom I met online, for their contributions.

Extra special thanks to my Aunt Helen King, for her assistance.

For those that have gone before us,
We are because they were....

For Marissa, Rebecca and Arianna.
