My greatgrandfather, L. Burton Hill, is as far back in the Hill line as I can get. I find him first in the Johnston County, NC census for 1850. He is listed with another family as a laborer. Sometime that same year, he married Susan Dodd. This is a difficult trail to follow. My Mother and Father divorced and I never knew much about my Father or his family, the Hills. I have no idea who Burton Hill's parents and/or siblings were, or where he was before 1850. So, if anyone can identify with this line, please get in touch with me. I am grasping at straws. Thanks.

This is my ggrandparents. I don't know exactly when the picture was taken. My ggrandmother died in 1911 at age 69, and my ggrandfather died in 1916 at age 77, so I think that it was before 1900.
- Charlie Bertie and Vandelia Wallace Wilkins (116 KB)
My maternal grandparents-taken in early 1940's in back yard where I lived as a child.
