Couple Married 50 Years
Mr. and Mrs. William Brown, 2103 Clarkson Av., Germantown, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home recently, when members of the family and friends were guests.
Amoung the many gifts the couple received was $300 in gold. An entertainment was provided by relatives, including solos by several grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Brown.

MARY V. BROWN
Mary V. Brown died Apr. 13 at her home, 232 E. Sedgwick St. after a short illness.
Miss Brown was a longtime Germantown and Mt. Airy resident and had lived on Sedgewick St. for 10 years. She was a member of the Tioga Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Josephine and Effie, with whom she made her home and two brothers William of White Plains, N.Y., and Herbert of Coral Gables, Fla.
Funeral services were held Apr.16 at the J.Wesley Craft & Son Funeral Home, 5202 Wayne Ave.
Interment was in Westminster Cemetery.

HERBERT BROWN GABLEITE, DIES
Herbert Brown 68, a former member of the Coral Gables Planning Board and retired retail merchant, died Wednesday.
He came to Coral Gables 15 years ago from Philadelphia, PA. and lived with his wife at 1100 Alfonso Ave., Coral Gables.
Besides eight years on the Planning Board, he was also active in the Kiwanis Club and the Coral Gables Rifle Club.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel, and two sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel.

H.BROWN DIES IN FLORIDA HOME
Herbert Brown, a prominent olney businessman for many years, died Sept.16, at his home in Coral Gables, Fla. Funeral services were held Saturday.
For many years Mr. Brown took an active part in community projects and served for two terms as president of the Olney Business Men's Association. For more than 30 years he operated the Zell Shop at 5538-40 N. 5th st. He was also a past president of the Olney Kiwanis Club.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Hazel, and two sisters of this city. He moved to Florida in October 1944.
