THE FRIEDMAN BUILDING ON NOTRE DAME 1946
Hymie and Dave Friedman purchased the building between St Lawrence and Notre Dame to run their Cash Register business until it was expropriated by the City of Montreal in order to build today's Court House in Old Montreal. The brothers spent many years on that site. It is interesting to note that seven of their grandchildren, became lawyers and have had many occasions to frequent that site in the course of their business. This building was always available to the cousins for their business ventures.
