      8. Katherine6 Westcott (Robert5, Stukely4, Mr.3, Edward2, Thomas1) was born May 6, 1664 in Warwick, Kent Co, Rhode Island, and died c 1692. She married Charles Hazelton, Jr. March 25, 1688 in Rhode Island, son of Charles Hazelton and Hannah. He was born 1668 in Greenwich, Kent Co, Rhode Island, and died March 28, 1712.

Zorobabel6 Westcott, Sr. (Robert5, Stukely4, Mr.3, Edward2, Thomas1) was born April 15, 1666 in Kingstown, Washington Co, Rhode Island, and died October 17, 1745 in Kingstown, Washington Co, Rhode Island. He married (1) Jane c 1695 in Kingstown, Washington Co, Rhode Island. She was born 1677 in Warwick, Kent Co, Rhode Island, and died Bef. 1718 in Rhode Island. He married (2) Mary Davis August 17, 1718. She was born c 1676, and died 1743.

1700 Apr 3--took oath of allegiance.

He deeded on Oct 20, 1706, to his brother Samuel as a gift , 128 acres of Coesit (Cowesit) purchase, being Lot 14, which came to him from his grandfather Stukely's estate. As the eldest son of the deceased eldest son of Stukely, he sued for and recovered possession in 1696, of his grandfather's homestead at Old Warwick, and by his will gave it to his granddaughter, Jeanne Westcott, daughter of Phillip. His will was probated Oct 9, 1745. (Westcott History by J. Russell Bullock, p. 124)

Zorobabel owned and lived on the farm in the Quidnesset section of North Kingston in Rhode Island, on which his father first settled in 1671. At the entrance to Allen's Harbor, which was originally called Quidnesset Harbor, as shown on old maps, there is a bunch of rocks called "Westcott Rocks." On this old farm is a cemetery where his parents, he and others are buried. (Stukely Westcott, Vol. 2, Pg. 55, 1939)

Notes for Samuel Westcott, Sr.:
Samuel & Naomi removed in 1720 to Fort Hill, New London, CT and in 1729-30, he was trustee of the Seventh Day Baptist Church. A descendant, William was deacon of the church, 1884, while another Benedict was ordained as elder over it in 1832. (Stukely Westcott Vol 1, Pg. 126)

Unplaced Westcott--Benedict, resided 1800 Chathan Township, New York. Probate court record, Columbia County, New York, his will dated August 24, 1832, probated, 1833, in which he mentions wife Annie (whose will was recorded May 4, 1844), nephew Benedict Westcott, heir of brother William and sister Lucretia Minor, namely Robert Wescote, William Wescote, Mary Lester, Thomas Wescote (the descendant), Hiram Reynolds (relationship not named). Who was this Benedict?? (Book of Appendices, Stukely Westcott, Vol. 2, Pg. 403, 1939)

Benedict Westcott, spelled Wescote in his will, 1832, in which Hiram Reynolds is mentioned. "The History of John and Sarah Reynolds, 1924", records Hiram Reynolds (Jacob, Nehemiah, Nehemiah, Jonathan, John), born September 19, 1801, died October 1881; married Rachel Westcott, and lived in Columbia County, New York. The will of Benedict Wescote was probated in Columbia County, where the family lived at Chatham. (Westcott Genealogical Bulletin, Nos. 34-35, September, 1944)
