| We have several different BROWN lines in our family. First, Sherrionne's family: I am researching GEORGE BROWN who married MARY STEVENSON and was in Baltimore, MD. around 1690. His son was EDWARD BROWN who married MARGARET DURBIN. Their son was CALEB BROWN who married JEMIMAH STEVENSON (same line as Mary) and moved to Madison Co., KY. around 1790. I am especially interested in their three sons who moved to Texas in the 1820's and 1830's. They are CAPTAIN HENRY STEVENSON BROWN who married MARGARET KERR JONES, JOHN "WACO" BROWN who married NANCY ANN HOWELL c.1820 and DR. CALEB S. BROWN who lived in Gonzales, TX. John "Waco" Brown's son was DR. JOHN DUFF BROWN,SR. and his son was DR. JOHN DUFF BROWN, JR. who married CATHERINE (KATE) CANNON KINNARD of Franklin, TN. in 1877. They lived primarily in Oakland and Llano, TX. |
