Pursley age 27 b. 1827, in SC., had 2 children: William (Twin)Pursley age 4, b. 1846 in SC. Mary (Twin) Pursley age 4, b. 1846 in SC. Elizabeth Gibson age 13, b. 1837 in SC.(Unknown who she is)? Mary (Twin) Pursley and William Dixon in Habersham Co., Ga. m. Dec. 19, 1867. I would like to find out anything on the Dixon family. 1870 White Co., Ga. Mossey Creek Dist. (House #1) Hezekiah and Elender Pursley, (Farmers) Susan and Rebecca Pursley, and Elizabeth Gibson. (House #2) William Andrew (Twin) Pursley and Mary L. Dorsey Pursley (Farmers) John Pursley. 1872 Aug 15, Susan Pusley/Pursley married Alfred A Marshall in White County, Ga. They had five children: Claudie Ann Marshall, m. Edward Chesley Morgan 11. Cornelia (Neeler) Marshall, m. Thomas S. Jackson, William Harold (Bill) Marshall m. Ida Calhoon, Carrie Eveline Marshall m. Lewis Cole and Charlie H. Marshall m. Eva Page. Susan died in 1886. She is buried at Dewberry #2 Baptist Church in Hall Co, Ga. Alfred A. Marshall later married Mary Elliott and they had more children. 1880 Census White Co., Ga. Mossey Creek Dist. William Andrew and Mary L. Dorsey Pursley (Farmers) John Pursley, Nancy(Nan)Pursley, Margaret (Maggie) Pursley, Caroline (Callie) Pursley, Alfred Pursley 1884 Records of Dewberry Baptist Church # 2 Hall Co.,Ga. Quillian Dist. Hezekiah and Elender Pursley, William and Mary Pursley were members there. John Pursley was a member in 1887. It was told that John Pursley left home, around 1889 or 1890 moved to Ducktown, Tenn. changed his name to Presley. It is beleived that Hezekiah and Elender Pursley died in the late 1890's or 1900 in the Quillian's Dist and buried at Dewberry Baptist Church #2, Hall Co., Ga. A lot more of the Pursley's are buried there. 1900 Census Hall Co., Ga. Quillian Dist. William A. and Mary L. Dorsey Pursley had 3 children at home then Mel Pursley, Sarah (Sallie)Pursley Emma Pursley. Their eight children all borned in White Co., Ga. are: John Pursley/Pressley b. June 21,1868 m. Caroline (Callie) Pursley b. Mar. 7, 1874 d. Jan 1930 m. Ezekiel Edge b. 1873 Alfred Pursley b.July 12, 1879 d. Mar 18, 1941 m. Nov. 24, 1901, Mary Magdalene (Maggie)Edge b. Feb. 29, 1868 in White Co. Ga. d. Feb.17, 1958 in Hall Co. Melton Pursley b. Jan 8, 1881 d. June 11, 1961, Gwinett Co., Ga. m. Ethel Sullens Sarah (Callie) Pursley b. Nov. 23, 1993, m. John Edge b.
