The marriage unite two collateral line of our Young family. He was born in April 1788 in Elizabeth Township, Essex County, New Jersey. (Family Bible). He was living with parents and two sisters in Fallowfield Township. Washington County, Pennsylvania when the United States Census for 1790 was taken. When about 18 years old he was taken by his parents to near West Union, Adams County, Ohio from where he move after a brief sojourn and joined his relatives who had settled near Fredericktown, Ohio. The death record of Mahlon, first child of Noah and Anna Young, shows that he was born two miles east of Fredericktown, Ohio (Norwalk, Ohio records).
On February 15 1815, Noah Young, of Know County Ohio, bought form the Federal Government through the Wooster, Ohio office, a farm of 163.67 acres in Trou Township, Richland County Ohio. (Department of Interior, Washington D.C.). In 1833, Noah and Anna sold this land described as the SW 1/4 Sect 30, township 20, range 18 to Andrew Perkins, their brother-in-law (Reference 38) (Mansfield Ohio Records). The Mansfield records, Volume 3, page 4, show that Noah in 1821 bought from Andrew Perkins a farm in Range 19, Twp 20, Sec 25. In 1828, about one year before his parents arrived from Adams County to become his neighbors, Noah bought a farm in Ridgefield Township, Huron County Ohio. In 1831, with his brother Henry he bought his parent's recently purchased farm (Reference 9). On this farm in New Haven Township, Noah died. At one time, Noah owned a farm in Berlin Township, Hurron County, Ohio which he sold in 1841 to Elias Ellis (Norwalk, Ohio records). Before making his first land purchase in northern Ohio Noah is said to have inspected the farm land in Fentress County Tennessee and to have bought a farm which is still recorded in his name at Jamestown. Enquiry about the record at Jamestown has failed to bring a reply form the recorder, Noah's wife refused to live in Fentress County, Tennessee because of the lack of schools. (Family records).
Noah served in the War of 1812 as a corporal in the 6th Regiment. Ohio Militia, in a Company commanded by his cousin, Captain Jacob Young (Reference 15).
The will of Noah, made June 22 1858, proved August 23 1858, gave all his property to his wife Anna during her live, and ordered his son Morgan after the death of Anna to sell the property and divide the proceeds amongst the children. Morgan sold the property consisting of 55 acres, part of the J.V. Vredenbugh partition, New Haven Township, Huron County Ohio, May 10 1860 (Norwalk Ohio Reflector, April 24 1869). The will of Anna Young mentions the fact that her property adjoins that of Uriah Young, unidentified, who left Adams County, Ohio with Morgan Young (see Reference 9).
