He married February 25 1844, Julia Ann Cramer (Mansfield, Ohio records). Julia died, July 28 1894, age 69 years 6 months 9 days (Gravestone record, Harrisburg Wisconsin). Three children.

Abigail C. Young born, April 12 1824, near Mansfield, Ohio, died July 25 1915, at Spring Green, Wisconsin. She married twice, first inRichland County, Ohio August 05 1848, John Bear. The family moved with relatives to Wisconsin where Mr. Bear died, December 21 1862, age 38 years 8 months 2days and was buried at Harrisburg.Abigail married second, William Claridge who died April 23 1898, age 82 years, and was buried at Spring Green, Wisconsin. John and Abigail Bear had three children, born in Suak County, Wisconsin. Two of the children died in infancy during an epidemic and were buried at Harrisburg: John Logan, born April 23 1849, and Benjamin, born September 25 1851, both died December 24 1852. The third child Harvey A. Bear, born January 16 1857, married Ida Wolf. They lived at one time near Rockford Illinois, Harvey and Ida had three children: Pearl married a Mr. Godfrey, George W. and John L. Bear.

John Young, born, July 22 1826, Troy Township, Richland County Ohio, diedNovember 01, 1905, at Baraboo, Wisconsin where he was buried beside his wife (Gravestone dates).He movedhis family in 1853 to Troy Township, Sauk County Wisconsin andwas a homesteader on a farm adjoining that of his brother Aaron. The journey to the land of the Winnebago Indians and rattlesnakes, as one of the party wrote, took 25 days by wagon.From his first threshing from a 14 acres lot, Mr. Young gathered 273 bushels of wheat.He was as active in education and community affairs as he was on his farm.For a time he was in business in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.In 1873, he was elected to the State Assembly, and in 1879, he was Sheriff of Sauk county.In 1902, Mr. and Mrs. Young celebrated at Baraboo their golden anniversary.Amongst the guests were Mrs. Young's brother, Cyrus Day, of Bellville, Ohio and her two sisters, Mrs. Jane Henry, of White Mound Wisconsin andMrs. Elizabeth Lockhart of Waterloo Indiania theonly surviving children of a family of 12 children.

Day, born January 30 1831, on a farm located near the one on which her husband was born in Richland county Ohio.Amanda died, April 23 1923, at Baraboo Wisconsin.The Days came to Ohio from Morris County, New Jersey with a stopover at Hagerstown, Pennsylvania.Amanda was the daughter of Joseph and Elinor (Thomas) Day who rest in Fairview cemetery, Richland County Ohio. John and Amanda had seven children (F.D. Young, Rochester, Minn.)

David Bonar Young born, March 26 1821, near Fredericktown, Ohio, died, April 14 1915, at Albert Lea, Minn. in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Geo. A. King with whom he had lived since 1910. He was buried in Button cemetery near Gotham, Wisconsin. He grew to manhood in the home of his grandparents, John and Hannah Young, and after marrying bought a farm in Richland County, Ohio. When his near relatives moved to Wisconsin, he followed them and settled near his brother, Aaron, on Honey Creek, Sauk County where he farmed until going to his daughter.The compiler visited Mrs. King in Albert Lea and is indebted to her for much information about the family which was told to her by her father and recorded in his Bible.
David married three times: first, January 01, 1846, in Knox County Ohio, Louise Merrihew, born August 29 1828, died September 25, 1861; second he married April 29 1862, Louisa Jane Gardner, at Madison, Wisconsin. She was born February 05 1835, died June 25 1863; David married, third July 25 1865, at Sextonville, Wisconsin, a widow, Henrietta Kennedy (Bennett) Martin, born May 15 1832, at Dumfries, Scotland, died August 06, 1921, at Albert Lea, Minn.
