Notes for HENRY FRANCIS BRUTY, JR.: Henry Francis Bruty, Jr. was born 14 January 1966, in Kansas City Missouri. Henry was a very strong will individual who was very confided in himself. He was more like dad was. Henry and I was very close to each other. We has children use to climb into each other bed on those night that Dad and Mom use to fight. Growing up Mom, Henry, and I would move back and further between Kansas City and West Covina CA. Mom divorce Dad a few time and then went back to him (I guess for the sake of the children). While in California, Mom worked has a live in house keeper for Red and Barbar Cooper. The Cooper's had two children Omi Lynn and Bobby. After we got older my tried hard to raise to boys by herself. We lived in San Bernando California for awhile. The is when Grandma Huffman past away. Aunt Bessie and Joe John were bring Grandma back out to our house in San Bernando on the day she had her stroke. I don't recall every detail but here it is "While they was Joe was driving and Grandma was in the front sit with Aunt Bessie in the back sit Grandma started to lean to one side. When Aunt Bessie asked her and put her hand on her, Grandma did not reply. Traveling on 10 Highway and passing through Covina Joe pulled off the Highway and took her to the Emergency Room and the West Covina Hospital". Grandma was in a comma for a few days before she passed on. While leaving in San Bernando, Henry enjoyed a game that I did not like to much. Him and couple of friends use to get on top of this flat roof that was almost in our back yard. They use to run on the roof and jump off. One time he was doing this and received a deep cut on his right side right above his hip bone. Henry was prone to accidents as a child. He was always get cut and bruise. He received another cut on the left side latter on which made a perfect match to the one on the right side. Henry and I both enjoyed playing and trading marbles will at school. Mom decided with the help of Aunt Bessie that living so far out wasn't best for her or the boys. I believe shortly after Grandma death we returned to the Coopers' where mom worked. Shortly after that mom got a job work has a maid at a Hotel just 1 1/2 blocks from the Coopers'. Where Henry and I would mow yards and collect aluminum cans to have money to have money to go to the moves. |
