The Bryce family Iam interested in researching come from South Ayrshire in Scotland around Cumnock area. My Grandmother, on my Father's side,was a McDonald from Waterside, Dalmellington Ayrshire. Names related are Duncan, Dunsmuir, Syme, McClung, McConnel and Noble.I have so far managed to trace some family members back to around 1840. My Mother, who was of Irish descent, came from Newry, County Down. Her name was Mary Cowan . Her parents were James Cowan (who died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.) and Hannah Bell. Hannah's Father 's name was William Bell from Newry, County Down. The other families I am interested in are from my wife's family who came from the east side of Glasgow, Scotland. They are Palmer, Leitch, Robertson, Burns, Marshall, Johnston, Reid, Barrowman, Longmuir, McCoid, Phillips, Kerr, McDonald and Paterson. Ihave managed to trace some of them back to 1860.s. Any information would be most appreciated and any information I have I am willing to share. Thanks.
