Francis Hester was first recorded in New Kent County, VA in 1686. In 1689, he ws recorded in the Parish Baptismal Records of St. Peters Parish, and in 1704, in the Quit Rent Roll with 300 acres of land. They were of German origin, left Germany because of religious wars, first settling in England and then to America. Had grants of land in Hanover and Louisa Counties, VA.
