| In our research we have managed to trace the following families: Bryer - Back to Charles James Bryer who married Catherine Darlington. Their ten children were born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia between 1875 & 1891. Childs - The Childs family tree can be traced back to Thomas Childs, whose son Thomas was born in 1809 and married Mary Wheddon. Deagon - William Deagon was born in Brisbane on 6 December 1821 and died on 3 May 1885. He married Mary Jane Smith, born in 1818. Fountain - The Fountain family came to Australia on the "Melmerby", which docked at Brisbane on 9 Sep 1865. On board were seven members of the family, one of whom appears to be the Father, Stephen, aged 52. Linnett - The Linnett family can be traced back to William Linnett born in 1814 in North Clay Coton, Northamptonshire, England. He married Emma Chamberlaine (born 1814 in Lutterworth) and they had ten children, two of whom came to Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia on the "Agra" on 11 June 1874. They were Thomas, who came with his wife Mary Noon and some of his children, and Jonathon, unmarried at the time. The family worked their way down to Clifton, where they purchased part of the old "Clifton Station." |
