This German born family, headed by Joseph Lawrence Schade (1828-1906), emmigrated from northern Germany around 1875 and crossed the U.S. continent to settle in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Maria Anna, and their 5 children. I am trying to find where in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany they came from and what became of any family members other than my direct line. Below is a family group sheet for Joseph and Maria(aka Anna Maria)and their children along with Joseph Peter and his children. All sources are available upon request. I am willing to share further generations on each child and would love to hear from anyone related to this family. |
