| James Bryden b. 1820 in Closeburn, Dumfries-shire, Scotland and his wife Janet Cairns, b. 1824 in Carnwath, Lanarkshire, Scotland were married in Yarrow, Selkirk, Scotland on 25 Dec 1848. They arrived in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas in 1852 along with about a dozen other Scottish settlers. |
