The Stewart's of Scotland was 8 years in the making.
It is not finished.
One of the last places I will go will be Stewartsville, Indiana.
That is where John Stewart and Mary Begley are buried.
When John Stewart left Knox County, Kentucky in the 1820's,
he sold everything the family had.
He had the earnings from the family bootleg/moonshine
whiskey trade and he was crowded at Little Richland Creek.
Stewartsville,IN is named after our Stewart family.
But, I haven't finished this book.
Along the way I have met Stewart's from all over the US.
Some belonged to the Stewart's in this book. Some didn't.
I am hoping with these Family Tree Maker Pages and this
book, there will many more Stewart's contact me with the
families that are missing among these pages.
They will all be welcomed. They are family, too.
I would like to thank a couple of especially great cousins for
their dedication and for their time, energy and much needed
support and input to this book.
June Delph and Rene Thompson. Everytime they found something, I had it.
And I would like to thank all my other cousins that took time and sent
me their family information.
To Joyce Lindstrom,Sarah FinchMaiden Rollins,Larry Matthews and to
the family of William Stewart and the Stewart's of Virginia, I want to
thank all of you and the Stewart GenForum at Rootsweb for all the
wonderful information and family histories you gave relating our Stewart
family.
This book is for the Stewart past and the Stewart future.
Thank You.
