This homepage is to encourage anyone who feels that he or she is a part of my Genealogical Family to participate, retrieve and/or share any information that will assist them or any "distant cousins" to research our ancestors.
My great grandmother, Sarah B. (NEALON) ELLIS kept an old photo album with dozens of family pictures from the mid to the late 1800's. It was then handed down to my grandmother, Ada Mary (ELLIS) BURROUGHS. She passed it to my mother and her sister, Clara & Frances BURROUGHS, then was given to me, Betty Jean(DEAN)FISHER-BUBRIG, as a wedding present in 1990 from my mothers sister, Frances. What a wonderful gift it was! Being the youngest sibling of nine, I felt very honored to receive it. Along with the fact of being recognized as the Genealogy buff in the family, it is a treasure I will pass on again one day.
Unfortunately, most of these pictures were NOT identified. Some have the photographer's logo, city & state engraved on them. I can only go by some of our family obituaries, census records, etc., to find names and cities where the children and siblings lived. Then I try to match that info with the (photographer's) studio locations. It is possible that the photo research will match a name with a face and also establish a possible date of the photo! And HOPING THIS WORKS!! The names that are most probably associated with these pictures are:
