| We are researching the family name of BUBENICEK. Bohus Bubenicek (later known as Bohumille Bubenik) immigrated to Lavaca County, Texas in 1906. He was born in Bohemia, Czechoslavakia. He married Marie Anna Kusakova, who was from Polichno, Moravia, Czechoslavakia. In addition, Josef Hundsnurscher, from Bohemia, Czechoslavkia, immigrated to Lavaca County, Texas in 1905. He was a German-Bohemian. He married Emilie Reischl upon arrival in Texas. Emilie was born in Lavaca County, Moulton,Texas of Theresea and Mathius Reindl, both immigrated from Germany. The Miller Family name was acquired after Vinco Filicic immigrated to Texas from Fiume,Yugoslavia. He was born in Senj and arrived in New York in 1909. His mother's maiden name was Kralj. He married Elvira (Birdie) Trafton, and sometime thereafter changed his name to Pete Miller. Birdie's mother was Sara Martha Corn, from Indiana, and her father was R. A. Trafton from Mississippi. R. A. Trafton's mother was born in Alabama and his father was from Mississippi. R. A. Trafton's first wife was Lenora Gilbert and they had five children. At the time of the census in 1880 he was a widower. He married Sara in 1882. Nothing else is known of these families. |
