When Martha and Anna Custer (sisters to Rebecca Custer Holder) were
married to Joshua and Josiah Thomas (sons of Wm. Thomas) in Oct. 1762 the
contract of marriage was witnessed by John Holder Jr. (He signed his
name)Other witnesses were John and Samuel Custer (Brides' brothers) and
Rebecca Holder. The contract was also witnessed by Wm. Thomas, John
Rhoades, father of Mary Rhoads Custer (Custer girls grandfather) See File
