Notes for Virginia Ella Brookins:
It is told by those that knew her she had the best and greenest crops in Jackson County, FL. She was a giver to Missionaries and played the organ during worship service at New Hope Church. She often would be in meetings until morning hours, then back to the fields by five am. By 1916, she was a widow with five young children to finish raising. She was a hard worker.

In the 1920 Jackson Co., FL Census, the family is in Dist. 91, Precinct 14, Graceville (part of) excluding Graceville town. Beginning in the south and east corners running north and west to limits of Graceville town.
