FOURTH GENERATION


8. Peter BUGBEE was born on Jun 11 1762 in Enfield, Conn. He died on Feb 18 1835 in Plainfield, N.H.. Peter was a private in the Revolutionary War. The text of the pension record submitted by his wife Isabel (Sybil) follows:
"In May 1780 being resident of Enfield, Conn Enlisted in Capt David Parson's Comp. of Col. Huntington Connecticutt Regt for six months. proceeded to Dambury Conn & drew soldier's rations. From there moved to Nelson's Point stationed there 2 months, crossed river @ King's Ferry & marched into N. Jersey where Regt. wass patrolling guard till Sept. of Oct. Returned to Nelson's Point. Detached By Gen. Washington to guard a team of horses sent to pick up grain in the fields of New York. (was part of a party) Nov 1780 discharged
Fall of 1778 one of the guards (out of Enfield) conducting prisioner who he believes were of Gen Burgoyne's Army to a place called (illeg.) pasture on the North River"

Isabel gave this account in 1838, and at the time she was a resident of Plainfield, N.H.
He was married to Sybil ROOT on Apr 3 1788.

9. Sybil ROOT. Children were:

child i. Peter BUGBEE was born on Mar 29 1789. He died in 1871.
child ii. Lydia BUGBEE was born on Nov 6 1791. She died on Sep 16 1816.
child iii. Sybil BUGBEE was born on Apr 2 1795. She died on May 20 1887.
child iv. Ira BUGBEE was born on Jun 26 1799. His wife Sara Bugbee was a cousin.
