This website is the accumulation of many years of research by a group of enthusiastic, perhaps even passionate, folks who seek to engender the value of the Bull family to our nation. Many people (over 100 family researchers) have contributed data to this presentation. They have helped to provide the fodder to promote the growth of our herd's (family's) "tree." As a task, this has not been easy as most genealogists will concur.

Let me provide a heart felt "Thank you" to the original "Group of Seven: Dr. Halbert M. Harris, Barbara Norton, Ruth R. Houghton, Dorothy Holmes, Mary Roman Sparks Matthews, Jack Crenshaw Grantham, Jr. and Jack Pepper. They were assisted by Alice Harris Harrelson, Nina Pepper, Sally Adams Lee in the foundations of our research. They traveled throughout the United States to libraries, court houses and other institutions to gather records, documents, microfiche and numerous other sources of information for our family tree.

There is a lot of Bull in this world! We just happen to have the name to back up that statement. Almost every state in our country, Canada and our "garden" of England and Europe are founded with our "roots." Louisiana and France also have the Bull family embedded in their societies, though they go by Bull, Buhl, Buel or LeBoeuf. Now, that's no Bull!

We have a considerable tree to offer within this site. We could use your assistance in filling in the missing pieces to our puzzle. Especially in the ancestors of Ambrose Bull of 1750, who has the defining proof of Ambrose's parents, grandparents or his previous whereabouts before Virginia and North Carolina? From whence did he come? Do you have any pieces to help us solve this puzzle? Please, help us to help you!

Also, we have some specialists in our group who are seeking the relationship of our herd to our Native American family members. If you have knowledge of such relationships, we encourage you to submit them to us. Please help us to seek and to find those links.
