Several Years ago I began the research on the Bumbaugh/Bombach never realizing what a "passion" it would become.I owe many thanks to Mrs.Jaye Bumbaugh for getting me started on the right foot. All my husband's family that knew anything about the older generations had passed on. We thought for many years that were the only Bumbaugh's left in existence.. When we traveled, we always searched the phone books looking for Bumbaugh's. Then I got the book entitled, "Bumbaugh's Since the Civil War" and began to write to them and wrote to Mrs. Bumbaugh and after a few letters we realized we were of the same family. She then told me to start in Mifflin County and one thing led to another.... |
