| Searching for information about the Charlie Foy Wilkes Family. His father was Claude H. Wilkes, mother Minnie Lou Alred (Wilkes)There were six boys, Charlie Foy (deceased I know), Ivey Wilkes of Poulan, GA, Austin Wilkes of Charleston, SC, Roy Wilkes of Moultrie, GA, Fred Wilkes of Ca,dem SC( deceased pretty sure was in Korea, and died in "93), Billy Wilkes of Pelham GA. Sisters Mrs. E.S. Springs (Annette) of Albany, GA, Johny Muriel (sp) Wilkes of Pelham, GA, and Gloria Jean Wilkes also of Pelham, GA.I only learned of my birth parents summer of 97 and have located my full brother Ronnie Edwards of Sylvester, GA, and my half brother Tyrone Miller and half sister Patricia Dolan (miller) and mother Mae Dee Parks (Miller). My parents, Mae Dee Parks Wilkes and Charlie Foy Wilkes lived in and around Pelham, Meigs, Camilla, Newton, GA. They were married in 12-30-41 and divorced before I Was born 8-14-45. Charlie Foy was in the Army, Battery B, 11th Field Artillery Batallion as a private. He was discharged with a Purple Heart. I do not know the extent of the injury. Any information would be greatly appreciated about Charlie Foy or his parents Claude H. and Minnie Lou. |
