• Buddhist Temple at base of mountain. (125 KB)
  This temple is much larger and decorated than the one up the mountain.
• Mount Halla on Cheju-do (64 KB)
  Our vacation in November was to Cheju island. The island is dominated by Mt Halla, about 4500 ft high.
• The beach along the south coast. (41 KB)
  We stayed at the Hyattt Regency on the south side of the island. The walk along the beach was beautiful.
• We toured the Chonjeyon Waterfall. (71 KB)
  It was quite a walk down a trail to the waterfall. Heather poses during a short break.
• View from Songsan Sunrise Peak. (90 KB)
  This island peak is in the Northeast section of Cheju. It was quite a trek, but the view of the harbor was worth it.
• Sangbansan: next destination. (92 KB)
  We hadn't climbed enough, so we headed up another mountain. Mt. Sangban only has trails about halfway up. That is enough.
• Temple on Mt. Sangban. (111 KB)
  This is the Buddhist Temple further up the mountain. It's quite a long climb for some of the older folks who came to pray.
