BURGER FAMILY

The old trite statement that "three brothers came here from the old country", is not only a matter of family tradition but is borne out by record.
The brothers, Jacob, David and Dewalt Burger, emigrated from Germany in 1754. Two of these brothers settled in Northampton County and the other in the upper end of Carbon County, or the lower part of Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
Jacob Burger was one of the two brothers, who settled in Northampton County, and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.

(Not sure of the emigration information since family records have Jacob as being born at. 1752 in Pennsylvania.)
