John Weible came from Cumberland Twp., York Co. (now Adams), PA to Donegal Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA. First appears in the tax lists in Westmoreland in 1800.

1st- Marriage and baptism data on Veronica Stauffer (dau) of Vincent Stauffer and Veronica Troxell/Drachsel is found in Rev. Waldschmidt records of Cocalico congregation- Lancaster Co. and Berks Co. PA.. She was born March 17, 1764- Lancaster Co. PA. She died June 20, 1816 Westmoreland Co. PA- Hempfield township- buried Bash

** the Stauffers were from Switzerland and were Mennonites- Lived Lancaster Co.- have lots of data on them. Also the Troxells/Traxel/Draschel family/ies.
Veronica Stauffer married Johannes Wible (2nd gen) son of Stephen. This from Rev. Waldschmidt records also. This would put John in Lancaster Co. area.
Stephan and Johannes came 28 Sept 1764 to Phil. PA on ship Brittania. Stephan died Oct 3, 1823 in Westmoreland Co. PA. This means Elisabeth was probably NOT John's mother.
