Resided in Andover, CT in 1747. Bought land in Union, CT April 12, 1754; the farm was later called "Sprague Orchard."

Elijah Sprague came from Lebanon, Crank Parish, now Columbia, and bought of Daniel Loomis, September 10, 1751, the Bush meadow farm and saw-mill.
Peres Sprague, probably a brother of Elijah, came from the same place and bought of Aaron Clark, April 12, 1754, the west part of lot No. 3, called in later times "Sprague Orchard".
His children were born before he came to Union.
He was married to Tabitha Burt (daughter of James Burt and Mary Thayer) on 19 Jan 1726/27 in Lebanon, New London Co., CT. (331) Tabitha Burt was born in 1700 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA.(332) She died after Feb 1784.

No other information about this Abigail is provided. 'Burt Genealogy'
says that James3 Burt was born c 1659, d 10 June 1743, in Taunton. He
married Mary Thayer 2 Sept 1685.
No birth records for James3 Burt children were found in Taunton VR. The
'Burt Genealogy' lists has children as identified in his will of 5 July
1733: James, Thomas, Nathaniel, William (b. c1693), Mary (b. 1696, d. 3
Mar 1750/1, unmarried), Mehitabel Babcock, Tabitha Sprague, Abigail
Burt, and Charity Burt.
No birth records for James3 Burt children were found in Taunton VR. The
'Burt Genealogy' lists has children as identified in his will of 5 July
1733: James, Thomas, Nathaniel, William (b. c1693), Mary (b. 1696, d. 3
Mar 1750/1, unmarried), Mehitabel Babcock, Tabitha Sprague, Abigail
Burt, and Charity Burt.
Checked Bristol Co. Probate Records and found abstract of James Burt's
will. The probate date given is 19 July 1743, and the will date of 5
July 1733, ten years earlier is in question. If the 10 June 1743 death
date given by 'Burt Genealogy' is correct, then the 1733 date is most
likely correct, also. No wills for any of the children were found, nor
of James's wife. If the 1733 will date is correct, it was six years
before Abigail's marriage to Jonathan Deane, and would be consistent
with the reference to Abigail Burt.
