His son was William Burgess, Jr, born 3 March 1685 in Cambridge, Mass and married to Eleanor Monroe, born 3 March 1684 in Lexington, Mass. His son was Ebenezer Burgess, born 23 Sept 1714 in Harvard, Mass, married Rachel Farnsworth on 11 May 1762 (first wife Hannah Laughton) and was called to the Alarm on Lexington in 1775. His son Loammi Burgess, was born in Harvard, Mass on 1 March 1770 and married Sarah Whitney, daughter of Gen. Josiah Whitney. His son was Benjamin Franklin Burgess, born in Harvard 23 Jan 1810 and moved to Abington, Mass. His son was Emory Burgess, born 2 March 1847, Abington, Plymouth County Mass, my grandfather, Albert Franklin Burgess, born 2 October 1873, in Rockland Mass and my father Emory Dwight Burgess, born 25 June 1907 in Melrose, Mass. Family Surnames are: Burgess (1685 - 1907) in Middlesex, Worcester, and Plymouth County Massachusetts, Spaulding in Massachusetts and Virginia (1609 - 1947), Strachan in Massachusetts and Scotland (1845-1930) and Dwight in Ohio and Massachusetts (1845-1944). Any information anyone has would be appreciated. I would be happy to share geneological information with all interested. My DNA information is: 13 23 14 10 11 14 12 11 12 13 13 29 17 9 10 11 11 25 14 19 29 15 16 17 18 and this is matched with 4 others, two in New England and two in Cheshire, England. More participation in this Burgess DNA project would be welcome. Thanks. |
