The John Burchfield Family/Geneology Home Page

I was born in Galena Park, Texas. My father is Donald Burchfield, born in Honey Grove, Texas to Issac BURCHFIELD and Donna Lucille ISHAM. My mother was born in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania to Demetrios ZARKADAS and Florence M. STRASBAUGH. Most of my research has focused on my family name, Burchfield, and I have traced my ancestry back to Samuel Burchfield, a reputed Welsh immigrant to America in the late 1600's or early 1700's. Samuel's ancestry came from the WFT, down to my known great-grandparents (I have their descendants which were not on the WFT at the time). I have a good deal of information on the ISHAM and BAUGH families (my paternal grandmother's roots). I am interested in the BRIGHT family (my great-grandmother's maiden name).
I have also been researching my maternal roots, including the SMALLS and ACKERMANS from McSherrystown/Conewago Pennsylvania. I would like information on the ZARKADAS family, since I know very little about them.

Of course, I'm willing to share what I have. Isn't this great?!
