1.  SIDNEY S.2 CHANDLER  (<UNNAMED>1)1,2,3 was born Abt. 1806 in Georgia or South Carolina, and died Unknown.  He married MARY L.4,5.  She was born Abt. 1813 in South Carolina, and died Unknown.

Notes for SIDNEY S. CHANDLER:
There are a G. W. Chandler (p. 140) and a J. S. Chandler (p. 139)  in the 1830 census of Autauga.  There is a James Chandler in the 1860 Autauga Census (Chestnut Creek beat, house hold 176) who must be related since he named a son Sidney, but I can't place them.

Sidney lists SC as his birthplace in 1850 but GA in 1860.

Also in the 1880 Chilton census are the following Chandlers:  John age 35, James M. age 34, James age 68, Marion D. age 23.  They live in very close proximity.

Sidney was a minister, and married people in Bibb County in 1857.  He is given the titles O. D. M. and M. G.

In the 1880 Census of Chilton County, pages 51B and 52A, there are two Thomas Chandlers, both born circa 1854.  I believe they are first cousins, but I don't know who belongs to which family:

2.  JOSEPH3 CHANDLER (SIDNEY S.2, <UNNAMED>1)18,19,20 was born April 14, 1832 in Autauga County, Alabama, and died Aft. 1920.  He married MARY E. Abt. 1875.  She was born Abt. 1843 in Alabama, and died Bef. 1920.

Notes for JOSEPH CHANDLER:
Darryl had his wife's name as Ruth Rogers.  Perhaps this is a first or second marriage, but the census of 1880 has him living with a Mary.  There is a Mary in the 1860 census, but this could be his sister since the ages don't match up right between 1860 and 1880.

Joseph and Mary must have lived in Florida for a while, where their first child was born, then moved back to Chilton County.  Perhaps Mary is from Florida.

In 1870 Etowah County census, there is this entry that fits our guy's age:
	pg. 362 Chandler, J. M 38 M W farmer 720 600 AL
		Moore, John 16 M W farm laboer AL attended school

Perhaps he married late, since John T. M wasn't born until 76.

The only likely parent I've found for him is Asa Chandler, indexed in Dallas County in 1820 (no films in Hsv library), and in Dallas County in 1830 with 1 male 5-9, one male 10-14, 1 male 30-39, one female 5-9, one female 10-14, one female 20-29.  They did not own any slaves.

DOBBS26, daughter of ALLEN DOBBS and MOLY JACKSON.  She was born May 30, 1879 in Alabama27, and died June 23, 1969 in Chilton County, Alabama27.

There's a note on Darryl's tree page that the initials are T. M.

John was a doctor.

John Chandler died during a tornado that killed many people that lived close to him.  Beadie Chandler told Faye Burnette that her husband Charlie had been injured in the tornado and taken to a hospital in Montgomery and she didn't know where he was for 9 days.
