I am researching the OAKLEY family from North Carolina. Woodson Oakley was b. abt 1819 in N.C. He married Sarah A. Fredrick on Nov. 16, 1846, in Hopkins County, Kentucky. Their children were Francis M., Louisa, Jesse Robert, and John A. Oakley. I am also looking for the BURTON family from North Carolina. Larry T. Burton b. April 17, 1819, John Richard, b. Jan. 19, 1825,and Jesse. These three Burton brothers married three MADISON sisters in Granville County N.C. They had moved from Granville Co. to Hopkins County in Kentucky before 1860. I think Jesse moved on to Arkansas. In addition, I'm researching the Ruffin RHEW family from Person County, North Carolina. Ruffin Rhew married Susan Roberts in 1836 in North Carolina, and Mattie E.??? His children are William N., Isaac N., Jesse Elizabeth S., James S., Nancy A., Susan F., John R., and Mary S. Rhew. Other surnames I am researching are PARISH, DUNCAN, KING, RIGGS, CLAYTON, FAUCETT, HARRIS. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. I make no claimes that all of my information is correct. It is correct to my knowledge but I welcome any corrections or additions that you might have. |
