OBITUARY OF ESTELLE BEIGHLEY; BFT, p. 52 Klempet
On March 29, 1874 there came to the home of S.P. and Louisa Beighley a baby girl, Ruth Estelle, they named her and she was as a home name Stella, a star. She shone in that home until July 7, 1889, when she changed it for a home where the Lamb is the light thereof. She grew up in our midst a bright, laughing, winsomechild-like child, until she opened up into womanhood amidst those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.As a student she was quick, prompt and attentive.Of her work in Sunday School we have a very creditable specimen written from memory when she was 12 years old.Loved and missed by her pastor, music teacher, day and Sunday school teachers. They will remember that she has gone to be with Christ, the only perfect teacher.
She was organist in our Sunday School for some time. You have sung some of her favorites today. When next you hear her sing she will sing the song of the Redeemed. Will your voice join hers? That tired feeling of which she spoke last spring has been replaced by one of perfect rest. Some of you saw her when she was unable to see you through her poor swollen eyelids. When next you see her, her eye will rest lovingly on you and recognize you.Let us pray the recognition may be as those who have come to the same blest Father's house.During her sickness she called often, oh how often, on her brothers to life her and rest her, if possible, by a change os position. Now she is safe in the arms of Jesus with her elder brother; no more watchful nights for her; she has gone where there is no night. When we took the last look of her many of us said we would not have known it was she. When next we see her we will have a glorified body and we shall recognize her.May there be no gulf fixed b between her and any of us.Last Sabbath the class of probationers of which she had been a member came into our church as full members. She had ended the warfare; she had kept the faith. You are subject to trials and temptations; you may be led into unbelief.Yes, she is happier than you.You would be happier than she is you were in Heaven and she were on Earth.Over eighteen hundred years ago Christ went to Heaven after having lived on this earth more than twice the years she spent here; went to prepare a place for her.He told his disciples in one of the last talks He had with them "If it were not so I would have told you".Yes, He came from Heaven and expected to go back to prepare places for His people and if there had been any fraud about Heaven He would have told them of it.
To her father and mother, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, and other relatives and friends, there is a place which is not filled, which cannot be filled and which you do not want filled. You must keep Stella's place for her. When, I don't want to say; if you get to Heaven she is there to fill it.True, she does not need your care, but she needs her place in the family circle just below Belle. And because she is above need of help from you, you have a little more thought and oversight to give each of the others, and she is glad to see you doing for them what she would need to have done for her if she were no wearing her Crown of Life.
