John Bighley (d. date unknown)
Notes for John Bighley:
According to a letter from Gail Siverling Dulgar, she has a copy of the Deed from 1834 where Philip and his wife Catherine Bighley deeded over their entire 160 acre farm in Armstrong Co. to John and Barbara Siverling Bighley."It contained a very explicit condition that Philip and Catherine were to continue residing in the home on the land until their deaths.John and Barbara were welcome to live with them, but if they found they could not happily share a residence, John was to bear the entire expense of building a second home on the property to move his family out of the original house. There is other verbage, about care and medical expenses for the aged couple also being the responsibility of John...
I also have a copy of the deed where John sells half the farm to Isaac Meredith for 1 dollar.(I still think Isaac has to be the husband of one of John's sisters), but I could find no further mention of Isaac."
The will was made in Monroe Twp., Clarion Co., PA on March 6, 1886 by W. K. Kerckman (?).
The will leaves the old homestead containing 81 acres to his daughter Sarah B. Siverling (who is she?)
Another daughter, Mary S. Keening was to have the farm on which she resides - 100 and more acres .
A son, William Bigley shall have 200 dollars in money.Another son, Miles L. Bigley was given five dollars. Then the four childrenof Miles: Elizabeth Annita, Sinthia Anne, Charles Ervin, and Jessie Ellis were each to receive $50.Carry V.
