The Nathaniel Burras Home Page

Nathaniel Burras was born in Virginia and most likely died in Cumberland County, Virginia Bef. 1763. An order record in Cumberland County states that he is the father of an orphan, Edmund Burras. Bristal Parish records state that a daughter, Patty, was born September 22, 1745 to Nathaniel and Mary Burrows. At this time, I feel that this Nathaniel and Mary are the parents to Edmund Burras, and to another son Charles Burras.
Currently, I have developed a database of the Burruss, Burrus, Burras, Burrass, Burris, Burriss, Barrow, Burroughs, and other similar spellings. This database is based on Virginia spellings and has over 1,000 records dated from Abt.1635 - 1800.
