Notes for Obediah Green:
There could be a missing generation or other error, because it seems that the widow Burchett Lundy Turner is too old to be the mother of Obediah Green.

The county granted Obed Green a tax exemption in 1809 because of the infirmity of two of his slaves, a man called Timothy, and a woman called Linda.

Among other things the article says that he participated as a Washington county militiaman in the battle of King's Mountain during the Revolution, and afterward held a number of positions in the local government of Russell county after the Revolution.
