At the time of the Battle of Hastings Martin was residing at the Bosenvilla, near Bosen, Normandy (in a section of France known today as Bosville, Haute-Nomandie, France (central part of the provence). Some believe that he may have migrated to England sometime after the Battle of Hastings.
